"By encouraging me to dance authentically, this practice helped me think and feel authentically. Being present at the Planned Parenthood event with a clear mind was very important to me because I could reflect more thoughtfully on why exactly I was there, what exactly my values are, and how I aspired to engage with the people around me at that time—those who may be vulnerable, those who may hold power/influence, those who agree with me and those who disagree with me, etc. DYFIT helped me clarify my intentions in the space."

"It was such a beautiful way to 'protest'–to just be there, to be yourself, to let yourself feel everything you were feeling, and to be so embodied through the dancing. Conflicts around abortion and women's reproductive health are often hard to talk about, particularly to those with opposing views. It felt much more moving and deep and effective to me than a lot of other protest activities I've been a part of, which was impactful for me since this is a very important issue to me."
